An open letter to GLORY fans from the new CEO

Dear Fans,

I was honored to be offered the role of Chief Executive Officer with GLORY and it was with great pleasure that I accepted. I first became involved with the organization at GLORY 4 TOKYO. That was one of the most incredible live events I have ever witnessed.

My background is in sports marketing and since first coming on board with GLORY I have been heavily involved in all sides of the operation. I have seen from the ground floor right up to the boardroom how things are done: logistics-wise, production-wise, presentation-wise.

During that time I have had a lot of ideas and a lot of conversations. Now that I have stepped into the CEO role I can begin putting thought into action. GLORY has achieved huge things in a very short time but the work is far from done. Our goal now is to take things to the next level.

Our next event is taking place late October. At this very moment we are in the process of closing in on venues for that event and the ones which will follow it. We are 100% in ‘Go!’ mode.

As noted this week, SPIKE TV has signed off on the next season of programming. We’ve got the best television partner we could have here in the United States. In fact, television-wise, we are in very good shape all around the world.

Following our recent hiatus we are in a good position to bring the best content to our television partners across the planet. We are planning to stage events on a monthly or six-weekly basis so that we are doing at least ten events a year.

The recent SPIKE airing of the LAST MAN STANDING pay-per-view did very well and we’ve got some shoulder-programming to announce which we think will be very positively received. In late October we are back into our live event calendar and taking it from there.

Our efforts will be focused on the things which are bringing results for GLORY. The main thing is that we have great fights. They make GLORY what it is and we will continue our tradition of having the best in the world fight the best in the world. That won’t change.

We’ve been in Los Angeles and New York twice each. Now we’re looking forward to bringing our events to other locations in the US and around the world. I feel it is time to take the show on the road and bring Glory to more fans in more locations. GLORY is an international brand in an international sport. Our international presence is established and will be maintained.

Our main goal is making a great sporting event for our fans and keeping the audience excited. That’s who GLORY is aimed at and that is who supports GLORY: our fans, our sponsors, our television networks. Those are the people we are out to deliver the spectacular for.

The central ethos is a focus on the spectacular. That means fighters who dominate, who fight hard, who have the special moves and the big finishes, fighters who are big characters but who also follow through and don’t just talk the talk.

GLORY is in an exciting place right now. Following our recent talks with SPIKE TV we have just signed off on a ‘Top Knockouts of Glory Countdown” show. We will also be continuing the tradition of spectacular special televised events before our live shows.

I am just getting going in the Glory CEO role and there’s a lot of things to discuss. I’ve been part of GLORY almost since its inception so I have seen it grow and seen it from the inside. Now I’m in a position to take a fresh look at things and see what we need to do to take GLORY to the next stage.

Most importantly I want to thank you, the fans, for your support so far. We’ve had some great events and some amazing fights but I do feel the best is yet to come.

GLORY is about exciting, spectacular fights and amazing displays of heart and courage. The next chapter of that story will be written with our event in late October. Keep an eye on GloryWorldSeries.com for breaking news on that event and the matches we are making for it.

It’s time for GLORY.

Best wishes,

Jon Franklin, CEO
