Mededeling Melvin Manhoef vs Ceasar Cordoba

Aug 4, 2014 Personal message Melvin Manhoef regarding Cesar Cordoba fight in Barcelona 25 July 2014. I fought fridaynight 24 July 2014 against Cesar Cordoba in the main event of a K1 event promoted by Daniel Esteve Martinez. During that fight I was forced to take an 8 count in the first round, but
I got up, recovered, and kept fighting till the end of the round and till the bell sounded.

The referee seemed not to hear the bell and suddenly waved the fight off AFTER the end of round one while it was my minute of rest.

I fought all over the world, kickboxing and MMA. I never complained about any fight or loss.

But this time i have to say there is simply no justification to end the fight this way.

And for sure there is no reason for the team of the opponent or anybody else to claim that I lost by a brutal KO and then only show the fight on video till the 8 count and suggesting the fight was over at that point...

I hope I have cleared this matter with the above.
