Superkombat World Grand Prix Final Elimination™ in Geneva, Switzerland on October 25

Sep 23, 2014 Superkombat Fighting Championship® is continuing it’s global expansions and the final stages of this season will be hosted by some of the top cities in Europe. On October 25, in Geneva, Switzerland, is scheduled the Superkombat World Grand Prix Final Elimination™ event, and the Superkombat World Grand Prix Final™ event will take place on November 22 in Monza, Italy. Fans from Germany, France and Italy are expected to come for the biggest kickboxing event of the year in Switzerland at the famous location Geneva Arena.

One of the most exciting weight classes of the year was definitely the Light Heavyweight division (-86 kg). Some of the majors Superkombat names decided to drop down from higher divisions and see what they are made for in this weight class. Former Cruiserweight Champion – Bogdan Stoica, former World Title Contender Jorge Loren will be the no. 1 and no. 2 seeded in Geneva. The winner of Superkombat World Grand Prix™ from Resita, Dawid Kasperski of Poland, is also qualified and the no. 4 seed for Superkombat World Grand Prix Final Elimination™ is the new sensation of Great Britain kickboxing, Michael Terrill.

“In the last three seasons, we only had heavyweights in Superkombat World Grand Prix Final Elimination™, this year we made some changes and the Light Heavyweight has been shown to be one of the most spectacular divisions. So, in October, in Geneva, we will have four elimination fights and the winners will face-off in the 4-man final tournament from November. We have 4 seeding fighters and we will select another 4 in next days”, explained Superkombat Fighting Championship® President and founder – Eduard Irimia who announced today at Chavannes De Bogis hotel also Mr. Carl Emery as Superkombat® supervisor and matchmaker for Switzerland.

The main-event of the night from Geneva Arena will be the battle between the Superkombat® Super Cruiserweight Champion – Andrei Stoica and Moises Baute of Spain, has been called the biggest surprise of the year after winning the Superkombat World Grand Prix™ tournament in Constanta, Romania. Andrei, how as been reigning champion since 2013 when he defeated Ondrej Hutnik, will defend his title for the second time after coming out ahead of Ali Cenik in June via Unanimous Decision.

The Geneva event  includes also an elimination shot for Superkombat New Heroes® Title at -81 kilograms between local hero Yoann Kongolo and Jamie Bates. the winner of Superkombat World Tryouts® from Middlesbrough. Bates shocked the audience at the second event of the year, winning the Light Heavyweight tournament.

But October 25 is a long way off, so don’t miss the last Superkombat World Grand Prix™ of this year, scheduled for Saturday, September 25in Almere, Netherlands, with Catalin Morosanu taking on local badboy Brian Douwes as the main event. This Saturday, it will also feature a 4-man heavyweight tournament. In the co-main event of the night, local hero and world title contender Redouan Cairo will face Ali Cenik of Belgium in a struggle at the Super Cruiserweight division.
